Ostseehotel Wustrow - Hendrik Schinkmann

The Hotel is next to a national road with traffic very frequently day and night. The room had no sound insulating windows. The location of the hotel is of the beaten track for travelers of public transport. Rooms are similar to B&B level, impression is such as an 3 star Hotel in the 70's. Food offered is independent from the season (e.g.dumplings, roasted pork, red cabbage in summer). The Hotel and parking area is overloaded with signs of penalty for not following certain rules. All in all value for money is not appropriate, prices in summer are way too high particular in comparison to other hotels in that range (e.g.chains such as ibis etc.) and there is no particular family owned style which would justify the price. In fact the owner responded in a feedback resistant and agressive manner particular to reasonable complains about the room. He refused room changes even while other rooms were available. Support was not offered due to effort & costs which would require it - from his perspective. It is neither a welcoming not recommendable Hotel.

We were warmly welcomed and everything was explained to us where everything was. The rooms are a nice size, bright and were cleaned daily. The varied food was amazing every evening and, above all, sooooo delicious. The location of the hotel is fantastic, a short walk over the dune and you are on the beach. We felt so comfortable that we drove home with tears in our eyes, but decided - we'll definitely come back because our vacation with you was sooooo wonderful and relaxing.

Very well maintained facility, Great staff at reception and in the restaurant. Great food at all times of the day. Standard rooms are okay, our bed was a bit sagging or the mattresses were too soft for 2 nights, which was acceptable. The carpet was okay with a few spots but still acceptable. At the entrance door, please clean the frame in the frame, it hasn't seen a rag in a while😏. Overall we were very happy and will definitely come back.

We were warmly welcomed despite the initially bad weather. The rooms are bright, equipped with the essentials and cleaned regularly. The food is awesome. Every day a buffet at its finest. The location is also fantastic, just over the dunes and you're on the beach. We have already booked for next year and are really looking forward to our vacation. Your Jens Ehrlich
